Well, I personally suggest taking a vacation from work, having coffee pumped intravenously, and keep hitting the refresh button on your browser for the next several weeks.

I was very surprised by that, but maybe he's not the only one who feels that way.
And I still stand by that comment. With 15-16 years of history, it'd be too much to lose in my opinion.

Thumbs up

Excellent! I no longer have to calculate this stuff myself. This is exactly the kind of feature that should make OOTP2006 a great game.

New Screenies look good. As deep as the new history looks, we could get another screenshot-a-day going showing different aspects of it.

i'm not as worried about losing the history as long as one or both of the following will work:

1. Is there any reason why, say for an online league, we couldn't just keep our old catobase on the website and let the history then pick up with the new version?

2. i'm guessing that we will be able to keep v6.5 on our desktop with v2006. We have been able to with past versions. i have v6 and v6.5 on mine now.

As they are two completely separate pieces of software, I don't see hoe there could be a problem. Enlighten me?

i don't think it should be a problem, either. But with a lot of people worried about losing history, i'm wondering if i'm missing something. If you can keep both on your desktop, you can get your history anytime you want.

No, that will niot work... the history stuff that gets stored in OOTP 6 is not nearly enough, no way I can generate these reports off that.

Id assume the answer is no, but I might as well ask:

will there be any way to import previous catobase files into the new output of OOTP06? Or are we pretty much SOL on the deal and the "catobase-like" reports will only feature stats from when the league was actually running in OOTP06?

thank you for replying, btw.

That's not problem

One comment for history in general: OOTP 6 stores history in a totally different format (mostly text files) while OOTP 2006 uses data format (with the one exception being the player history text file). So, there's no way the history of a OOTP 6 league will be converted when importing into OOTP 2006... but I personally feel that isn't too bad. If you want to check out the past history of your league, fire up OOTP 6, or check the old Cato reports on your league website...

No, I have no clue how Cato works, and coding an importer for these files would take way too much time.

if a batter is slumping at about 1-32, do you expect him to get a hit his next at bat?

and if you didn't notice...I did thank him for responding.
