Changing the Ballpark Background

Howdy all, I have downloaded v5 to see if this is something I want to order on May31. It is running just fine only I get eyestrain trying to read the light text over the "very busy" and multicolored ballpark background. Is there anyway that I can completely eliminate the background? It is just driving me crazy and I can not look at the screen for more than a few minutes at a time. I hope this has an option or better yet I hope the 2006 version is easier on the eyes than v5...

Also is there a help manual on how to get started. Like step 1 .... step 2... etc.. Thanks Bryce

If you are having trouble reading it could be caused by the "3d" being either enabled or disabled. Try toggling it to see if it helps. Not sure anymore for v5 but I think if you go to..

c:\program files\ ootpdevelopments (or whatever folder the game installed to) \ ooptv5

Inside you should find a file called "game configuration" or something similar.
Doulbe click and you can enable\disable 3d and sound. Toggle the 3d to the opposite of whatever it is right now.

Go back and try the game to see if it helps.
