Position players as pitchers and pitchers as position players

I want to have enabled the option of teach a pitcher to play a position and hit (and viceversa) in OOTP, due to Babe Ruth case.

Any post here.

You can already teach a pitcher a position in the minors of OOTP6.5 (I've done it several times)

Personally, I'd like to be able to pinch hit with a pitcher without it automatically inserting him as a pitcher and making him face a batter.

Yeah, I ran into that when I wanted to use a some-what speedy pitcher (on his off-day) as a pinch-runner. The game inserted him as the new pitcher and screwed up my whole rotation!

I'd like to go DH-less in a DH league if I had a good hitting pitcher if I wanted to. I tried that with a previous version, wouldnt let me.

I completely agree. I find I'd like to insert a pitcher into a non-pitching role about three or four times each season. And then there's the Jose Canseco as a relief pitcher desire that I'd like to quench.

I was at that game, when Canseco pitched! I was 7 or 8 years old, but I can remember it well. He threw sidearm and I think he blew his arm out, landed on the DL. It was Boston vs Texas, right?

I did enjoy the article though, especially the line "he had settled down in a 'normal' marriage with a former Hooters waitress and fitness champ..."
