I am sorry for asking so many quaestions, but I have assembled 30 managers an I am trying to run my league while being very new at this. Here is a list of questions I need answered. I am asking a lot so I do not have to ask again
Items in bold I need to be answered in great detail.Questions 1. I downloaded 6.0 and I down loaded the patch 6.51. Does my key work for the patch? It keeps saying to buy the licence? What do I do? 2. How do I download the file to my server so my managers can see their teams? How do I save the file (HTML) so I can download it? 3. How do I simmulate a block of the season and then save it for export to the server for my community managers? Is there an exec. file? All I see are a bunch of files. 4. How do I access the draft? If managers trade their picks, how do I change it so the right manager recieves the pick? 5. How do I change/adjust player attributes? 6. How do I create a new player? 7. How do I have promotions to try to increase attendance. 8. How do I build a new stadium? 9. How do I make Trades or Change players from one team to the next? Do they automatically go to the minors? Can I just simply swap players from one team to the next team (i.e. a trade between the A's and the Yankees)? 10. Is this process the same for swapping players to the minors? 11. How do I lower ticket prices? Is this in the same section as Q.7? 12. How do I Change team Nicknames? Can I change player names? If I have any more questions for you I will let you know. |

This isn't an insult so please don't take it that way. I feel your enthusiasm and it's a good thing but if you have this many questions about running a league perhaps it would be better if you joined an already established league and then worked with their leadership to understand the game a little better.

Not to sound like a d*&k, but there is a newbie forum where this should most likely be. Does any of the 30 people you have lined up have any OOTP experience?

League questions
I know this is the advanced section and I know this is not where this belongs, but there is no manual and All i need is the questions answered. I am computer literate so, if you experts can help me, I would appriceate it.

2. How do I download the file to my server so my managers can see their teams? How do I save the file (HTML) so I can download it?
Go to "online league setup" and there is a "Create HTML report" button. As far as the league file, owners need to have the game to use the file. Zip up the entire league directory and throw it on your FTP server. 3. How do I simmulate a block of the season and then save it for export to the server for my community managers? Is there an exec. file? All I see are a bunch of files. Go to the season schedule (league, schedule) and go to the simulate menu at the top. It gives you options. 4. How do I access the draft? If managers trade their picks, how do I change it so the right manager recieves the pick? The draft is held in the off-season unless you have rookies already created for June 1st. 5. How do I change/adjust player attributes? Click on a player so his card comes up, and then turn "EDITOR" to on 6. How do I create a new player? Under league setup, go into the free agency section and hit "create a player" 7. How do I have promotions to try to increase attendance. Under your team screen, go to "front office". There's a button in there. 8. How do I build a new stadium? League setup, edit stadiums/create new ballpark 9. How do I make Trades or Change players from one team to the next? Do they automatically go to the minors? Can I just simply swap players from one team to the next team (i.e. a trade between the A's and the Yankees)? Go to "player trade" under the league tab. To see where traded players go, go to a teams transaction page. They need to be called up to the majors as long as they are on the 25 man roster (unless you have that turned off) 10. Is this process the same for swapping players to the minors? Yes. 11. How do I lower ticket prices? Is this in the same section as Q.7? Yes. 12. How do I Change team Nicknames? Can I change player names? Go to a team page, and team setup. Player names can be changed by turning the player editor on.
