You are actually executing the file that you downloaded, right? It doesn't matter where you put the downloaded file but when you double-click on that file, it should start the install process. Just wanting to make sure and hopefully I'm not offending you with such a question. Based on what you have said, it doesn't sound like you have actually run the patch.

Thanks for your help HuskerDan..No offense taken- I am no computer expert- but I'm not a NOOB either.

In any case- my suspicions were correct about the .exe file... It should have reflected todays date after the patch- but didn't. So I renamed it something else, applied the patch- and the patch put a NEW .exe in the folder- which when run is reflecting the new build #...Strange- don't think I've ever had to do that before- doesn't seem as if anyone else is having this problem though- so probably just my computer (so far anyway)....Thanks again for the help!

Must have been a permissions issue where the patch could not overwrite some of the files. Very odd but at least you got it taken care of

You are not the only one having this problem. I will try what you did. Hope it works.

Not yet it's not. Sorry to gripe, but I did not wait all frigging day for this game, not to mention the time past 5/31, to not be able to go full-bore right off.

Done ranting...and I do look forward to much OOTP goodness!

I'm getting an "Unable to install update - Installed Version information is corrupt" error.

Game runs fine, and is in default install location. It doesn't come up with the install path by default, even when entering it I'm S.O.L.

Edit: Nevermind - I was trying to update the game through an RDC connection. That's never been a problem elsewhere, but when I logged on locally it worked fine.

Marc, correct me if I am wrong but isn't the OOTP2006_setup_101 link in post #1 the full game and not the patch? If so please edit your post or just take the darn link off.

Earlier tonight I installed setup_101, created a great universe only to find the draft wouldn't start. My guess is that error was caused by installing 101 on top of 1.0.0 rather than properly patching 1.0.0.

I have since installed the patch, created a test league and was able to draft. My old universe, dead and just worthless. Nothing personal but damn it sucks to loose all that hard work because of such a mistake.

I know it's only been 8 hours since my post but could we get Marc's original post in this thread edited? Rereading that post this morning makes my personal league issues that much more frustrating.

Sticky is a good idea too.

If I buy OOTP 06 on my Mac (computer A) I will get a second order code for my other Mac (laptop) correct? I know this is the case with past versions and had been detailed and such. Just double checking. Thank you.

Importing Lahman on Mac version

Hi all,
I like most other MacHeads am extremely excited to finally be rid of my PC!
I've played OOTP on PC for several years and the importing of the Lahman data was almost seamless. I tried to do the same with the Mac and haven't been able to get it right.
I am importing the CSV version but it prompts me to import a single file, and the database is something like 15 files.
Do any of you experts (yes I am sucking up to you), know how to do it?
