Any progress on the main part of TT1889, the apparent inaccuracy/incompleteness of player evaluation by the AI due to the lack of fielding evaluation, which may then impact player evaluation in other ways (e.g. negatively impacts older players)? Thanks.

As for the 'Improved Aging' thing, does this include the removal of forced retirements and allowing of smaller drafts, the two biggest problems that result in very 'young' leagues with only one level of minors or no minors:

Go to "Statistics" then where it says "Qualified players" pick "qualified rookies". There you will see rookie records (or really rookie stats). However, you are correct and I've jumped the gun because these are erased after each season anyways and in reality they are NOT concidered records. Heh, I must be very tired at the moment.

Is the issue with 99% of Hall of Fame players are drafted in the first round of the amateur draft being looked at?
I think the scouts are too good at evaluating the amateur players. I want more first round busts and 20th round surprises. |

Since everyone's chiming in, here's one of my pet issues which I didn't see in the list...is there any way to delete career stats when you start a new league so that the only stats on a historical player's record are those simmed in-game? For instance, I want to import players from the historical database for 1987 as if they all began their careers in 1987 with no MLB history before that year. A guy like Tom Seaver will retire at the end of the first sim year, only pitch five or six games in my new league, retire, be high on the career leader boards, and be admitted to the Hall of Fame when he only pitched a handful of games in my league.
Also, speaking of which, is there a way to change players' ages en masse for a league like this? It'd be cool to import players from a certain year as if the league were starting from scratch and cap everyone's age at 26 or so. That way you can get a full career out of guys like I was talking about above. I know that this is very specific to the way I like to play OOTP, but one cool thing about posting on these boards is finding out how everyone else enjoys your shared hobby. I'm sure there are other people who play leagues like this and would like to see these things implemented. |

I feel that this is VERY important and I believe many others feel the same. Not to make this sound too strong but I will not be a buyer of the game without a fix here. It was in previous versions - what happened? |
