oh, and soon as I patched the game, I got this e-mail...

"Rumors have become reality as Clete Minard put his signature on a contract that will keep him in Milwaukee another 1 year. The deal is valued at $7,450,000 per year."

You've gotta feel good for the reliever getting an extention that high priced... after all, he's not even a closer. He's just a middle reliever... for MY team. Toronto. If there's ever been a clearer case of tampering, I'd like to hear it.

So. Now he has a ridiculously huge extention that I didn't want to sign him for, and I don't even know if he'll be on my team or Milwaukee. I gotta ask... what the hell?

I don't know about this one. I don't think that there is any designed effort at this time to negotiate via the media.

I'd report this issue as a bug.

It's a hilarious bug.

I'm getting everything but text. I'm not one to complain, but I agree, it is frustrating with a Mac. Does anyone try out the update on a Mac?

2 quick thoughts to improve:
(1) Put pitch counts somewhere on the game screen so as a manage you know when to pull a batter
(2) After pinch hitting for a pitcher, have some where you can see the opponents roster so you know whether to put in a lefty or a righty

The first half of the first round will not lose their first round pick because of FA compensation. Great. However, will they lose their second round pick like in baseball?

I'd like to try a guess. Are you receiving email from around the league and are there 2 Clete Minard's by any chance ? Just trying to help

Geez, haven't been able to install the latest version of the patch yet (been away from home), but the results don't seem pretty looking at the tech support forum. It seems there are more crashes and game engine foul ups (pitcher being left in after being pinch hit for) than there were before the patch. What gives?

Should I stick to the previous iteration before patching?

Nope. Not only that but the stats matched my reliever, and I checked my reliever and he has the contract extention listed.
