Draft pick trading

I don't seem to be getting the draft picks I trade for. I have the trade draft pick enabled, but when I make a trade, I don't receive the pick when draft time rolls around. Am I doing something wrong?

This was brought up before in tech support, please post in the following thread to help highlight the issue.

Draft screwed when trading draft picks.

Thanks

Can anybody confirm if draft pick trading ever works? I'm just curious because I'm starting a new league and don't want to enable this if it's broken. I don't really care one way or the other, just looking for confirmation

This isn't a big issue if the commissioner has the ability to modify the draft order for the amateur draft when it is time for the event to take place. Does anyone know if this can be done, or is the order set in stone? I know with previous versions of OOTP, there was a third party tool that allowed commissioners to change the draft order, one round at a time. Do we need another tool like that for OOTP 2006?

No, you can edit the draft round-by-round in this version.

So, as long as the transactions report tracks traded picks, we can just update the draft order in the game as needed. This is good news. At least it is a workaround until the bug is fixed in the game. Thanks!

Before the last patch trading draft picks worked FINE. What happened? This makes no sense at all...

Marcus made it so that the first half of the picks are protected from free agent compensation and as an undocumented feture also made it so that they can't be traded.
