End of season question
So I had a request in the 2006 threads that there might be some fanfare at the end of a season to celebrate the champions. Any hope that this might be added in 2007?

I think there should be a parade. I see no reason why, every time I finish a season in OOTP, I can't look out my window and see a parade. It doesn't seem like it should be too hard to program.

took me a few seconds to get it, so maybe they just need more time to let it sink in

Sorry it took so long to answer. But news was something I was looking for, and maybe an analyist's opinion about the "world series." But I was looking for something graphical but not like major 3D series studio max kind of stuff. Just something as simple as "Congrats to the Toledo Mudhends"

Or, maybe it could be sorted by overall, so that the most famous players would be listed in the top row. A big graphic of a trophy in the middle with: 2007 CBL Champions Yonkers Yeomen Maybe pitchers above the trophy, position players below, and the manager on a separate line at the bottom. ![]() Edit: Generated in .png format, so that it could be posted on a web site? |

Ok, how about this?
A special "report" specifically for the playoffs. The headlines could say something as simple as "Red Sox are World Champs!" with a followup story that summarizes some of the team highlights. Add to that same page the results of all the playoff games, special performances, and the league standings, add a couple player pictures - and you have a "Special Edition". |

Well the game tracks player highlights per team throughout the season as well as milestones and record setting events. The game could analyse either a DB file of events or the team news file (providing the user does not delete it). Just like player name selection, you could weight certain key events (like milestones, record setting events, major accomplishments like getting 20 ks in a game) so they are picked over routine things like 3 hits in a game. The recap algorithm could pick say 5-10 and list these as season highlights. Just a thought.
EDIT - This actually sounds like a candidate for one of Anderson utilities.
