Option to begin with free agents

Something I always want but have to use workarounds to get is the ability to start a universe with all free agents rather than an initial draft. As of 2006, you had a choice between starting with a draft and starting with all the players assigned to teams. The only way to simulate starting with free agents was to export the rosters after starting up the league, remove everyone from teams, and import. While minor, it would be nice to have the option.

Why can't you just "release all players" after the inaugural draft?

Or release all players without the inaugural draft.
