Overall first impressions are favorable. It's great how you can import complete history in a new historical league now. Very nice!
The only "weird" thing I see right off is that the STUFF ratings from Lahman 5.4 all seem low compared with past (2006, 6.5, etc.) imports. Is this what others are finding?? Looks pretty cool so far! |

what year did you import? If it is deadball then you will end up with lower stuff ratings.

Not deadball Stuff
I have imported 1958, 1974, 1998. I have also used Lahaman 5.4 and Gambo 1.5. The game imports STUFF lower than in the past in my opinion. In 2006 most pitchers with "yellow" in their STUFF ratings. Now most are "orange" - by far. Now, perhaps this is a reflection of other changes to the game engine. I haven't simmed much yet so I don't how it affects K's. Just an immediate observation. More orange now it seems...way more.

Ability to strike batters out is now a function of both STUFF and VELOCITY. It may be that the stuff ratings are lower because when averaged with the velocity ratings they yield the apprpriate strikeout frequencies.
Or not.
