There's a text file for anecdotes? It would be cool to have Grampa Simpson type anecdotes - "I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumble bees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. "

Sure, it needs work. The interface is still inconsistent and sometimes ass-backwards, some things are to hard to find, some things are already irritating after one day (reading an anecdote about one stupid exploit of Pete Rose six bloody times in one day makes MD want to punch out the LCD screen
FWIW, I bet if you delete all of the lines out of hints.txt, that it won't display the hints at all. Less expensive than an LCD.

One hint per line of text, max around 250 characters.

Ok, some of the lines of text go to the next line.........how does it differentiate between the start of a hint and the ending of a previous line of a hint? Do I need a wider screen?

Sorry for sorta hijacking MD's return........

It's only because you have "word wrap" turned on in whatever editor you are using.

First, it's good to see MD back again. Second, this is the game 2006 should've been. I've started a couple leagues, and there is a huge improvement. I loaded the game on my desktop which is a dinosaur just to see how it would work. I honestly think it runs faster than 6.5. The menus took a little getting used to (because they are so much better then 2006). Everything is better. I'm so happy I could poop!!! --Is that better admin?

woooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!1111 1111oneoneone

I finally got promoted from bat boy. I've been reading this forum for years, but I rarely post anything. YES!!!expletive deleted YES!!!! I'd like to thank everyone that made this possible. First, Don Mattingly, because with Don all things are possible, and second I'd like to thank the guys who make coors light, because without you I don't how else could play OOTP for like 16hrs straight. Finally, I'd like to thank the creaters of OOTP. Without you my blood pressure would be lower, my ass would be smaller, and the quicky mart near my house would be way overstocked in coors light and marlboro ultra lights. I couldn't do it without you guys!!!!!!!

Perhaps so, but in that case, you would have been waiting until about now for the game. Which would have meant a really long gap between OOTP6.5 and the next version release...
