Problem hiring coaches mid-season

I fired my team doctor and went to search for a new one. Annoyance - the list can't be filtered to only available doctors, that I can see. Anyway, I went to a doctor that had no contract, and there was no "Action" menu at the bottom where I could make an offer, just Picture and Shortlist.

Am I crazy, or is there just no way to hire a new doc?

Right-click on the doctor in the coach list

Great, thanks for the quick response. Even though the docs left are all quacks, it's better than nothing. I didn't want to finish the season with one of my scouts performing surgery.
