Another Noob Question
Doing a historical sim and was wondering if there would be a way I could control a team from 1901 to 2007 and beyond. Say I want to start with the Chicago Orphans in 1901 and want to have a hand in everything the future Cubs do from then on. I know I can create myself as the manager/GM/whatever, but I just don't want a message coming across in 1950 telling me I died and my dynasty is over.

You could play in commish mode, and "Act As" Chicago with complete control over their demise err uh history
![]() To do this start game in commissioner mode. Once began, top right of the screen there is a drop down to "Act As" any team you like. Go to their team home page/Options and Ballparks, and check the box to not allow AI involvement. You should be good to go from there ! Last edited by Tycobbler; 03-23-2007 at 01:29 PM. |

Commish mode is probably best if you don't want to get fired. But, if you want the added challenge of managing the team, you should try standard mode.
You can manage from 1901 on. The best part is, if you have auto expansion on, team names and divisional alignments will change automatically. New teams will be added to the league starting in the 60s and 70s. Historicals are really fun, however you play. Will

It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... beings will come Frodo. Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams |
