Old History in a New Draft Class

I was just moving my last 6.5 league through it's last preseason before moving to 2007 and ran into a problem. I noticed that all (if not most) of the newly created players had player notes from some previous player before their own notes. I was planning on using Larry Anderson's tool to port the player history over to 2007 but I would prefer not to have it read something like:

Drafted in the 37th round, 208th pick of the innaugural draft...Had first hit...Drafted in the 1st round, 3rd pick of the 2009 first year player draft...Any ideas?

Well, it is likely that it is just reused player ID's (a previous version issue). I believe that you can just delete those and that will solve the issue (I'd make a backup copy of them before deleting them for good if it was me).

I'm not sure if I follow...although I'm at work now so I can't see all the files. How do I delete the reused player id's. On that same token what's an easy way to determine all the reused player id's that are out there?

I was talking about their "history files", sorry I didn't make that more clear. These are just the text files that have the same number ID as they do. As for the question just asked I don't know.
