Most Dominant Pitcher?

I was hoping to catch this guy when he got win number 400. He is definitely an outlier. The next guy on the career wins list is at 321 and he is also 37 years old.

Based on ratings Matsura has 2-3 years left. So 450 is possible.

Holy crap. What kind of numbers are those compared to the rest of his era?

What size rotations do you use?

Did he get hurt in 2039? Shame. He could have been near 430 already.

He is way way better than anybody ever. The league ERA for the last 20 seasons is 4.15. I have Pitcher Endurance set at normal so there are a lot of CG compared to current RL baseball.

He is not on my team. My favorite playoff series was 2036 where we beat him twice. Prior to that we never beat him at all.

All 5 man rotations. Essentially it is a modern MLB set up with some tweaks for my taste.

Yes, injured late in 2038 out for 13 months. When it happened I thought he was toast.

Thought I'd re-visit this thread as Matsura just retired.
I was hoping he'd go for 500 wins but the Twins just won the WS and he went 4-1 in the Playoffs. My Rangers lost 0-4 to the Twinkies while going for a threepeat. Oh well there's always next year in OOTP.

Going out on top, that's the way to do it!!

Maybe he'll come out of retirement in May for 3 or 4 years like Clemens.

Wow, that is amazing... those strikeout totals are just ridiculous, lol.

What was his career record in the playoffs... I mean he is just a borderline HOFer so I want to know, lol.

WOW - just amazing. Those stats are just mind boggling

I also like how he was drafted by the Twins and than stayed with them for the next 20+ years

Wow.... biggest thing to come out of Japan since Godzilla.

I am impressed, I have run many many historical sims and fictional sims and I rarely get a 350 winner, but an almost 500 and he would have been closer if he was not injuried and with a 5 manner.....

AMAZING!

Starting pitchers are more dominant in this league. They have 1970's endurance. Even with 5 man staffs if the AI goes to "start highest rested" they will get 37 starts. Closers are also dominant so MR is generally poor. Maybe that's why I can't win in the playoffs.

What I like is that his career development and decline is very realistic (even though his numbers may be out there).
