Minor issue: Games all star pitchers all relievers?

Has this happened to anyone: In a league I am in the games all star pitcher selections are relievers.

Also, does anybody know if there are any kind of game settings that can stop that from happening?

Thanks

I can't say I've ever seen that one. In fact, I thought the game had a set number of starters and relievers it took for the ASG.

Ive never seen all relievers, but I do notice that there are an overabundance of middle relief and closers that are chosen, at least in my league. Im not in front of the game now, but for my 1904 all-star game (historical w/o real schedules) the computer choose something like 7 closers for the AL squad

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.

Not a minor issue!

I haven't seen that issue but the AI for All Star games is messed up. Recently my full time 1B started the All Star Game as a 2B. I can only assume that the AI saw him as better than the 2B who was picked. I do not like the large number of 1B players who have ratings at 2B, 3B, and SS. That just doesn't happen IRL.

Maybe in your case the AI saw SP's as lower rated than the relief pitchers.

What is your AI evaluation % set at?

Were any of the relievers picked;
  • Actually starters, by endurance?
  • In the starting rotation, even though they have sub 50 endurance.

I've never had an All-Star staff of all RPs, but I've begun manually selecting the squads before the All-Star game. This is the only way I know to prevent questionable AI selections, but, as mentioned above, the manual selection doesn't prevent the wacky AI to play them whereever it wants.

I made this TT3763. However, I noticed that Markus set a similar TT to "L-Consider for next full release."

It's the game's approach to making sure AS pitchers go no more than 3 innings at best.

Most recently, my All-Star game consisted of half Starters and half Closers. There were no middle relievers on either major league roster. Is that normal?

It's OOTP's approach to shortening the time it takes to play a game by removing innings 6-8.
