American Baseball Association

That is one I always end up using in my fictional leagues.

For minors I use the NBA model as well by calling them American Baseball Developmental League.

This is a terrific idea. Something like this could be the difference in buying or not (since there is still little info on new features).

I might shy away from MLEB as being too similar to MLB.

Whatever you call it, may I suggest that the structure be 2 leagues, 2 divisions of 6 teams each, no wildcards, one 7-game playoff per league followed by one 7-game world series.

If the league structure was aligned along a NSEW basis, with primarily familiar MLB cities, so much the better.

I always start these things from 1901, 1920, 1946, or 1961 but that is because my preference is historical/fictional and I'm 61 years old so much of that earlier era is deeply embedded in my world view. As they say on the forums, YMMV.
