Is this a bug? II
I noticed that the computer is drafting an obscene number of catchers in the draft (just did my 1986 draft yesterday). OOTP8.
Is this a bug?

depends the computer drafts the best (Non-Reliver) in the draft. If it has for some reason created too many highly rated catchers that could be a problem.

I'll check the counts. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this

I've noticed this as well, and it's a pain because I only like to bother with the first 5 or 6 rounds and let the AI do the rest. It doesn't happen every year, but maybe every other year on average. It sucks when you pull up the transactions screen and find you drafted 6 catchers in the remaining 10 rounds. I haven't noticed this with any other positions.

well, i looked at the draft and found that it was relatively reasonable (about 10% of the players drafted were catchers, roughly 2 per team). One thing that I did see, though was that the teams that I checked had at least 6 catchers on their rookie level team after the draft. THAT seems high.

The game used to draft a ridiculous amount of catchers all the time before the modern era of the game. Once A level of player is gone it goes to the next one and so on and the final level always started with all remaining catchers getting drafted.
