Exclamation Markus..2 issues

Let's try it this way since the issues seem to be ignored in other threads.

#1: Are you going to fix it so that if we make a mistake in the lineup screen we can undo it? The changes should not be official until we go back to the game screen. This is something some of us have been bringing up for a number of versions of the game but we have never received a response. This is a very annoying thing since it causes us to lose players during the game if we drop a sub into a wrong slot or whatever.

#2: There is an issue when you use a player at the same position twice in a game. He is credited with 2 games playing that position. For example, he starts in LF, moves to RF, then comes back to LF. He gets credit for 2 games played in LF. If you need to see it, try it in a game.

As a matter of interest why can't #1 be fixed?

Because it would be very complicated and not worth the hassle IMO.

Ooops. What he said.

I'll add my , though. You have to leave it up to him to make these kinds of calls. What the heck is the sense in questioning it when he's made such a decision? It's his game; buy it or not. StyxNCa has been persistent in asking this question, Markus finally answered, and StynNCa seemed OK with the response.

That's fair enough. It's no big deal really anyway.

Would it be possible to have a confirm box first though when making the change?

That amounts to the same thing and actually, would be a little redundant given that the system remains once-moved-moved. Your substitution is the confirmation.

Whoa...fan boy much?

I'm in the crowd that thinks you should have a "cancel" button. Just seems like adding that "cancel" button would make sense so that you can return to the game without forcing the changes. I like to "see what it looks like" after moving things in my other games...you can't do that here.

Good suggestion Styx.

It's not a huge deal, but it would be a good fix. For those cases where you're dragging, and you let your finger off of the mouse too early, and the sub goes into the wrong lineup slot, etc. Maybe in the future.

So lets say your the manager and you make out your lineup card and give it to the umpire is that not your official lineup card or are you allowed to make changes after the fact, or do you have to sub the proper player for the one you put in as a mistake and would you still have the option to play that player later in the game...

Exiting the lineup screen back to the game screen would be like the player stepping foot in the batter box or in the field. The thing I am talking about is where I am in the dugout with pencil and lineup card making changes. The players involved have not left the dugout yet because I haven't decided to send them out yet. The game does not allow me to use the eraser on my pencil. Once I write the name on the card, that's it.

Yes. I have a nervous disorder which causes tics so at times my finger will lift off of the mouse while I'm dragging things.

And my optical mouse pointer jumps around without any help from me. (I know, I know; buy a new mouse. This is my second, and they both did it. I'd need to buy a new surface, I guess.)

What he means is the code required to add something that seems simple is quite complex. It could mean redesigning the whole way that the lineup is laid out. I am sure he will put it in the back of his head for 10.

Think of it like this, when my dad use to tell me something and I said 'Why', he would say, 'Because I said so!' (:

I've played OOTP baseball games since they were just a twinkle in Markus's eye, and I've never, ever made a change to my team that I thought, "Oops! I screwed that up!"

For those of us with nervous disorders, I would sugguest......Lot's of Beer.
