suggestion for next version - outfielders group

Something that I really find frustrating is when I want a list of outfielders. I can select batters (but I don't want infielders), I can select LF, RF, and CF separately, but then I can't compare the players side by side.

What would be really nice would be if I could select "outfielders". There are many many times that I would have liked this.

To a lesser extent it would be nice to pick infielders and bullpen (reliever and closers together) also.

This seems like it might be a relatively simple programming change.

I think this would be especially useful in the all-star game selection process.

I know that this is probably wrong to say, but...

I know that this is probably wrong to say, but I really liked that feature in Baseball Mogul. You could look up outfielders or all of the batters minus pitchers.

You can build a filter to do this. I have one for outfielders, infielders, and middle relievers + closer.

I was just wondering why someone would want to do this, but I guess, yeah, in the ASG. When else?

I'm not arguing against it. I think it's actually a cool idea especially if you do other groups too like infielders, relievers, maybe middle infielders. I'm just a bit ignorant as to the use.

I can say this - it was proposed and is in the list of filter requests. I suspect that there will be filter fields added through the patching process, so just hold yo' horses.
