I'm very excited...

I would like to sharpen my knowledge of baseball statistics, any good link for that?

It depends on what level you're already at. Baseball Prospectus, for instance, is a great place to go, but only if you already have a solid understanding of the basics.

1) What is a RBI?
2) Why do they matter?
3) Why don't they matter?

You can learn a lot by watching people react to RBI's.

Take your time, ease into it. No need to try to overwhelm yourself from the outset.

And jabba, I'm happy to answer questions about statistical categories to the limits of my ability (I'd say above average in the general populace, and below average on this board).

Just dig in - and enjoy each thing you learn. There are now tons of sites and plenty of articles to help you learn.

It really is a lifelong affair, you know. Don't rush it.
