International Leagues - whos doing them?

Looking around I know I am not the only one psyched for international league support. my question is, what is everyone doing for one?

I'm setting up a 16 team league with the countries that participated in the world baseball classic and expanding from there in the future to include others. I'm doing an 8 team seeded playoff structure (yay updated playoffs!). I have yet to figure out a good minor league system, though I am thinking about a Junior National Team league where prospects up to a certain age play at A level. That and maybe a "developmental league" that would be AAA and stationed in national capitols.

I will try to recreate an international league I have in OOTP5. Twenty teams, with each division consisting of teams from a particular region.

The cities included Manila, Hanoi, Beijing, Pyongyang, Ottawa, Havana, Moscow, Brussels, Paris, Budapest, Niamey, Addis Ababa, Accra...etc etc...just cities I happen to be interested in for one reason or another.

In my OOTP5 international league I spent a lot of time getting the player names right. But for the yearly draft it became too time consuming to go through every team, so I changed the name files each year so that all of the draftees would be of a particular nationality. One year, they were all Chinese. Another year, Hungarian. Etc. So, what with trading and the yearly draft, each team became increasingly diverse as the seasons went on.

It's fun to watch a league develop this way.

The other thing I will do right away is recreate my African League, probably with 30 teams.

EDIT:

I just copied my Global League from my archive CD to OOTP5 and actually it looked like this:

Western League

Div 1
Windsor Rockets
Sudbury Bluegills
Edmonton Miners
Yellowknife Panthers

Div 2
Havana Angels
Cochabamba Sugar Lords
Tegucigalpa Suns
Santo Domingo Mantas

Div 3
Tucson Armadillos
Anchorage Kodiaks
New Haven Lobstermen
Boyne City Oxen

Eastern League

Div 1
Istanbul Ataturks
Budapest Quasars
Antwerp Gnomes
Moscow Red Stars

Div 2
Harare Gazelles
Tripoli Scorpions
Niamey Meerkats
Accra Super Lions

Div 3
Shanghai Dragons
Hanoi Goldfish
Pyongyang Red Giants
Manila Bayay Kubo

Tomorrow evening this league will be running in OOTP9.

Great idea.

I'll probably be pulling 24-30 teams from here:

and then expanding...

I'm considering doing international leagues that essentially serve as feeders to MLB, giving cheap, young free agents for MLB teams. In the absence of being able to perfect that, I'll do something else, but I fully intend to have a system where I scout my own players and have feeders pouring players into MLB from HS, College, etc.

I plan on creating a South American baseball league that I've been trying to perfect for several years. Multiple teams in most countries. I think 24 teams all together. Stoked that I can finally do this.

Can you imagine if baseball ever actually 'caught on' in Brazil? Wow.

Got to ask. You the same Poweshow on Rivals?

And yeah I'm setting one up. Maybe I'll use some ideas from over here.
