Simming ahead 10-15 seasons

I read a thread where Markus said he likes to sim like 50 seasons ahead after creating a league so that he has some history, before taking over a team. After setting up my league, I could only sim to the playoffs. How can I sim X number of seasons?

Oops, never mind... found the option to sim ahead... but oy vay, simming ahead 20 years one day at a time is gonna take forever.

Click off Save box scores/game log/replays in Game Setup and it goes a lot faster.

You can also disable FaceGen and change simming preferences to turn off standings/schedule, and it will go much faster (five minutes a year or thereabouts).

Where can I go to disable these options? I disabled all of the Auto-save stuff, and the auto-sim is still pretty slow.

OOTP Preferences for standings schedule, global setup in your league to disable facegen.

Edit - you can also disable facegen in OOTP preferences.

sim as commish only, no messages, i average 2-3 minutes a season, but if u use almanac that takes as long as season to add csv dump once a year

If I have almanac disabled, will that have any bearing on the career stats that get generated per player, ie, will I still be able to see a player's career stats?

No bearing, You can always create an almanac at the end if you would like to.

I find disabling virus scan makes a huge difference in sim speed!

And also, for Mac users, disabling Spotlight from indexing your OOTP folders can increase speed alot, too. You can do this in the Spotlight section of System Preferences, under the Privacy tab.
