Fake managers/pitching coaches/etc.?

In OOTP 8 I really remember having the real managers, coaches, and personnel available right from the get-go. I signed on to play my first franchise with the Phillies, and saw Steve Chapman as my manager. Then I went to the other teams and saw it wasn't just me. So where are the likes of Charlie Manuel, Bobby Cox, Bob Melvin, etc.?
