Help for a n00b

if anyone has AIm i have quite a few questions as OOTP9 is my first experience.

Some of my questions.....

How do you monitor progress of injured players?

Whats the best way to manage a game without each pitch. IS there a way to sim one inning at a time?

How do you add players who aren't there? Is there a link to add a player because it would be hard to create a player with all of the stats for one player.

i have/will have more if I can chat with someone on a more realtime basis

Depends on what you mean by progress. You know a guy is injured for X days or weeks, then you keep looking at him until he's not injured anymore.

At the bottom of the in-game screen, you can click and have the game sim up through any inning you want. If you want to watch each at-bat while not in one-pitch mode, you can turn that off or just press the ENTER key when each guy is batting. It will go into one-pitch mode and only show you the pitch that results in some outcome of the AB.

You can generate fictional players on the free agents screen. You can also import historical players from there.

Sorry, not on chat.

But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Frodo. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... beings will come Frodo. Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams

Injured players are in red. Just check their profile to see how long they have left. it will usually say something like 5-7 months, 1-2 weeks, etc. DTD injured players are orange. Also, if you have the player on the DL, you will receive notification when he's healed (if you have that enabled under your manager settings, it's on by default).

As mentioned above, you can import players from the free agent screen. But you'll need to be in commish mode.

Also, the team's homepage will list its injured players, right above the starting rotation.
