Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Total protonic reversal.

I'm just curious -
What would happen if you dropped Dev down to .500 or .600 and left Aging at 1.000?? Would players have even longer careers? Or would their peaks just happen later, or worse, shorter? |

I'd expect Sky Dog will reprise his typically excellent work. However this league will port over to vX just fine I think.

i posted this elsewhere but it's more appropriate here... sorry for the double-post guys.
i love skydog's settings but i feel like i never get any really young players in my leagues if i use his settings. also, i'd like to know if (over a long period) anyone else has noticed that star players get replaced in lineups alot by younger players when you don't use skydog's settings. i mean i get that talent has to be replaced eventually (you'll note that i'm a giants fan) but it's rediculous to see some of the best and highest paid players being put in a platoon or not played at all because of the AI wanting to get young talent in. so i guess what i'm looking for is a way to do the settings that gives us some clayton kershaws but doesn't push all the tim wakefields out because of it. with skydog's settings i don't get many players debuting before they hit 24 years old. i understand that this is the average debut age in real life (and actually has been for decades), but it seems like i never see young studs come up with his settings. but if i use the standard settings, that's all i get, to the detriment of the veterans. is there a happy medium out there? |

Funnily enough I have been searching to find exactly what you described. In the OP that to me is perfect baseball. I often site 1984 as the perfect baseball year statistically and often have tried to emulate it for every season in ootp and have failed. I will definitely have to use your settings.

just simmed a bunch of seasons with skydog's exact settings and i have to say that i like the progression but the computer still seems to like to take established veterans out in favor of young players and plays up the left/right splits way too much. there is no reason at all why a healthy and still productive miguel tejada should be benched in favor of his successor when he (tejada) is still making over 10 million a year. it would never happen. at the very least the AI should look to trade him away.
i'm going to try to tinker with the AI evaluation settings... make it take the recent seasons into account more as current settings have the AI almost completely ignore recent history in favor of ratings i'd love to hear opinions from people who think this is either a good or a bad idea. |

How many starting pitchers in total were there in those 7 seasons?
