Also, EC, i forgot to tell ya about the second one i posted. instead of using the word "but" the word "as" would better fit there. I'm sure you already figured that out tho! cheers!
I wasn't sure what you wanted. I just fixed it where it would make sense.

The debug mode is great as it gives you the category number and the object number and makes it much easier to find them in the Text Database.

To enable the debug mode:

Game > OOTP Preference > Open config folder (button on bottom left) > click OK > click app file > click Notepad > change 0 to 1 to enable debug > then close it out back to the OOTP Preference screen

Select "cancel" when you get back to the OOTP Preference screen.
Do not select "OK". It will not go into the debug mode if you do.

It was in the Scouting category under "overall". I was looking for "summary".

Fixed.

Thanks for the object id.

Made it easy to fix.

As a former (and possibly future) software engineer, I've learned that when dealing with computers, the more details you can include the better.

Glad I was able to help.

Great minds think alike.

I used "as"...as in, "as another baseball season comes to a close".

IDs: 22292, 22293, and 22294.

Maybe it's just me but what the heck does "underway" mean?

"underway" should be "under way"....2 words, and it means that something has started....generally something rather big. As in "The World Series is now under way." (dunno, maybe it is only one word?)

or if your going on a big trip and talking to someone on the phone that your on your way to there house, you can say "We are now underway....under way? dunno lol)

Oh, I understand what "under way" means in that context. But in the following, it makes no sense to me.

TEXT_OBJECT id="22292" text="He's an average runner who runs better underway."

The 22293 and 22294 are like that. I think that should be reworded somehow.

I guess it means "once he gets started, he runs pretty good".

Not a quick first few steps.

I will spell it correctly.

I'll bet it's one of them weird English terms that no one ever heard of before, used in that context

You see, there is always a reasonable and rational explanation for things we don't understand.

That's not true! There's no reasonable and rational explanation of why OOTP cannot support being played like a soccer game instead of a baseball game. Or why we don't have an infinite amount of options available to us, such as being able to create a league with purple and green polka dotted oompa loompas played on Jupiter, with an average of 500 homeruns per player per jupiter season, with relegation to an earth league played by Siberian nationals in Hickville Louissianna.....

Is there any way you could upload a current XML file?

I agree. It would be nice if we could get an update as these are fixed, rather than having to wait for an official update.

battists has to make one available. That is the only way I know to get one.

battists has released an updated text file in the past. I'll see what his plans are this year.

Each new patch always has the last Text Database in it.
