Eugene - I just wanted to tell you thanks for the contributions you have made to the game. Your work is appreciated. Will the changes that you are making here make it into the next and final patch?

I have asked him to update it again when he does the final 9.2.1 patch to get any other corrections I make between now and then. Thanks for the nice comment. Last edited by Eugene Church; 10-06-2008 at 06:53 PM. |

Have you seen a hard coded instance of Barry Bonds when a player gets suspended for an on-field tantrum?
League Gives Lubin Suspension Shortly after yesterday's Bats-Mud Hens game ended, David Lubin's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. ... "It was funny," Bonds said. "I was hoping to kick it all the way to the dugout." ... Did that get eliminated in the latest patch? |

One of those persistent (n)'s popped up in my pbp tonight, Eugene. Thought you might want to know. Also, I think step should be steps in the next to last line.

Hrm... I went in and fixed 5 that somehow cropped in but none was that one... and I just checked that line and it's fine. You sure you're running the last patch?

9.2.3, tysok. Do you think it loaded an old english.xml? Maybe we should have the most current english.xml available on a consistent basis at padres?

I am playing a World Series between the Yankees and Braves and have seen a couple of errors with the PBP.
1) Mike Mussina and Johan Santana, both on the Yankees, said their league rankings were "in the NL." The Braves were not a good pitching team and did not have anyone among the league leaders, so I could not see whether the bug would have said their rankings were "in the AL." I manage the Yankees and would have noticed if it made that error during the Division Series and/or the ALCS. It didn't appear then, so I'm presuming this is just a World Series error. The leagues were correctly identified when players' hitting rankings were given. 2) Jason Giambi and Mark Teixeira were traded for each other during the season. There have been times when Giambi came up to the plate and it gave his stats "against the Yankees" or Teixeira came up and his stats were given "against the Braves." The teams did not play each other during the season. Instead, the stats given were for Giambi with the Yankees and Teixeira with the Braves. I using version 9.2.2 |

I had a token instead of text in a news story about the amateur draft today.
The story starts "The European League amateur draft looms large today..." Instead of the list of the top prospects, I saw - "(%string#2)" |

It's actually been in http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ing-teams.html for a while. It's only fix is for those having that problem, but I updated just to have the latest version.

I think this error has been posted here previously. I couldn't find this error listed in Bugzilla, so I logged it as a bug. Thanks for posting the error. [%string#1] is "the teams with the first five picks". [%string#2] should list the top ten prospects. Last edited by Eugene Church; 10-21-2008 at 09:40 PM. |
