International League Level

I was wondering what level the International league is equivalent to: Majors, AAA, AA, A? or somewhere in between?

It is AAA.

Unless you mean the in-game set up and not the one with the Rochester Red Wings in it. Then I can't help you.

What do these rankings do in the game, aside from provide an asthetic?

I have a fictional league for example that has teams from all over the world, so I called it the international level ...

What would be the difference, if any, if I had named it as a "major league"? (Since I want it to be the highest level) and I also have AAA as the first minor league for this level and it's definitely not the same calibre of skill as the international league itself.

International Leagues are just below AAA in terms of their talent level. If MLB leagues are 1.000, International level leagues in good baseball countries are about .950 or so.

Yeah, sorry. I misunderstood your post. I thought you meant the IL. I'll let someone else answer.

The rankings in game effect the ratings of the players in the respective league. If you want an MLB-style league and an international league as well both running at the same talent level, set them both to be parent/major leagues. You don't need to make the international league an international league.

You can still set it to the International designation (for stats purposes, if you want) and then change the PCM to 1.000.

Carplos-

Thanks. That's a great idea.

League Setup | Strategy.

It will default the sabermetric PCMs to a value based on the baseball level of the nation (0.950 for level 5, not sure of the defaults for others.) Just change them all to 1.000 (or whatever you wish.)

I would be careful with using International as a league level...I created a World Baseball league and for the first season set it as International, only to realize it didnt save the frist season's playoff or fielding stats - as it was set only to keep "Major League" stats!

So, I set it in the offseason to be a Major League instead of International, but...now when I went to sort stats and remove AAA stats from a guys career board, and selected "Major League Level", it removed the frist season of my league's stats.

Sigh. Its annoying enough for me to restart the league.

Hmm, wow ... It just dawned on me that is the reason I've never had playoff stats in my 40+ year old fictional league that is set to international level for the top league ... I had just kind of forgotten about that before, but yeah .. Hmm, that's too bad.

I've survived this long without playoff stats, I wonder if I can keep going without them or if I should just change it to start recording them now?

This is why you save playoff stats for all leagues.

Will changing the international league to keep "very high detail" stats fix this problem?
