I suppose I should be the one to ask:

What do you mean uninstall on a mac? Simply delete the folder and create a new one? I'll lose the license if I do that. Plus, the Mac Installer doesn't overwrite existing files?

You're right, There's no uninstall feature for OOTP on the Mac. You can just overwrite the files with the installer. The installer will not overwrite your saved_games folder, don't worry. You don't need to delete the OOTP folder before you install the new version.

BTW: you wouldn't lose your license if you deleted the OOTP folder. You don't lose the license ever. And the license key is in another folder. Even if you deleted that one, you could just re-enter the key.

If you just want to install the OOTP9.app.zip on the Mac, you need to open the zip archive first. Then copy the OOTP9.app into the program folder which is at /Applications/OOTP Developments/OOTP Baseball 9. Replace the existing file.

I know. Stupid mcStupidhead, that's me....

I got to add myself to this.
In the OOTP program start I find a Unlicense OOTP9 no uninstall
This is different in OOTP8 that has BOTH an unlicense and uninstall.

I´m not to stupid but I would like to get this RIGHT 100%
Do I uninstall from the Control Panel and this will not drop my license.

I had a small thought on just renaming the OLD folder from My Documents and just install this new ootp9setup.exe that will in my eyes fully install the game again from scratch. However the license issue pops up again.

I´m sure many has already tried many ways to do this. But it is too hard to write this down in the thread . Uninstall is not always 100% clear, since we have different routines.

Seing MANY problems that have popped up with this new patch I´m a bit scared, getting in too deep.

So please help me out a bit.

Talking about license number. All I had was the Order number Vt ...... and yes I´m on a PC with XP not Vista

Ahh, this makes sense!
I always wondered how the game licenses on Mac worked.

Thanks for the tip, Andreas.

Don't unlicense it.

But even if you unlicensed it, you could simply license it again when you start it next time. The license will not be lost.

There should be a shortcut "Uninstall OOTP 9" in your MS Windows start menu in the "OOTP Baseball 9" folder. Uninstall the game and install the new full version. Needs some time. But it will not overwrite your saved games. Have fun!

You don't need to unlicense before you install a new version. The license is not saved in the OOTP folders.

You could for example lose a license if your hard disk crashes or if your computer gets stolen. But even then just send an email to support@elicense.com and tell them what happened and they can reissue your license. It's a lifetime license.

I searched for the fix to the fixes to Cleveland Indians but I couldn't find anything. What changed with the Indians in the latest patch?

Thanks in advance..

There's a tiny logo there of OOTP9. That's the exe file for the game.

Set your folder view to "List" or "Details".

Will the L/R splits auto fix themselves?

I havent had a chance to get the patch yet but I was wondering about the R/L splits problem with leagues imported from V8. Will it automatically fix after I put in the patch or do I have to reimport my v8 league to v9 for it to be fixed?

You have to re-import the OOTP8 league.

EDIT Oops has been answered already

I must not have had the problem before the patch because the L/R splits are the same after I re-imported after the patch.

The same ratings as before the import, or the same ratings L/R, e.g. 45 vs L and R?

The ratings I had b4 the patch are the same as after the patch. The L/R ratings themselves are not the same numbers, ie, 45/45 or whatever. The ratings are different vs LH and vs RH.

I didn't see that problem before the patch.

You bet I have fun. Almost as seing Germany get to the finals and face Spain....
Hmm that shortcut doesn´t exist in the OOTP9 folder but in the OOTP8 it does, so a nice copy AND change of path to the OOTP9 did wonders.

Now let see what works and whats not.
At least the 2008 Quick Start have no screwup with players in my first look.
Liriano is not retired or free agent.
Ratings seams OK. I checked the Dodgers where Russel Martin had no catcher rating in the first version. Now it´s proper, even a bit less then Danny Ardoin in defense.
Heck it almost looks playable. Hopefully the rest of ball-flights and other stuff get fixed in the July major patch....

Thanks guys for a nice looking game.
But hm do work on the sounds. BM2xxx have a head start on you...
