In 1986, I was at a game where the Red Sox played the Angels at Fenway. It went to the 12th inning tied 4-4. The Angels score 3 runs in the top of the twelfth.
Bottom of the twelth, Jim Rice hits a two run homer to cut the lead to 1. Sox tied the game somehow that I don't remember, and my scorecards are 6000 miles away right now, but I think it was a bases loaded walk. Gedman comes up with the bases loaded. The umpire calls a balk. The home team wins 8-7 in the twelfth. My second favorite game I've seen in person. Tom

No wonder, the Sox were able to come back from 3-1 in the LCS--they remembered this game.
