1st walk off HR to win World series

Playing my 1st History sim league.

Game #6 of the 1902 world series

here's what happened

Phillies Vs Senators, Phillies has won back to back championships

Lets set up the scene, 2-2 game in the bottom of the 9th. C.Luskey pitching, R.Thomas grounds out. H.Wolverton grounds out. Delahanty steps up to the plate 1st pitch ball, 2nd pitch ball, 3rd pitched fouled out, 4th pitch HOME RUN 346 feet. can't beleive Philly fans goes crazy the 1st walk off home run to win the World series, I'm very glad I decided to watch the games.

Wow, a walk off to end it in 1902.

it's all downhill from there.

Wait...who won the real-life 1902 World Series?

...That's what I thought!

i don't think there was one in RL AL and NL where still battling it out. One thing for sure I'm learning the history of the game.

Somehow fitting, since Big Ed "walked off" a bridge in July of 1903 IRL. It was all downhill from there.

That was my point. There were no World Series in 1901, 1902, and 1904 due to the leagues' bickering, and 1994 due to the lockout (I refuse to call it a strike, being that the owners were the ones who actually cancelled the Series)

"Big Ed" was a big stud in my historical replay, winning the Triple Crown in 1902 and leading the Senators to an improbable win in the 1903 World Series, upsetting the heavily favored Pirates (to mimic real life, 1903 was my first World Series). He retired after the 1904 season and went right into the Hall of Fame.
