Patch #2 - New Features

Hey guys,

I'll introduce a new option in the second patch (due mid July): Scouting Accuracy. You can select the accuracy of the scouting engine, ranging from 1 (very low) to 5 (very high). This will take care of complaints about the accuracy one way or the other

Also, there will be some sort of player development report, although I am not sure yet how this will look in the end... I'll keep you posted.

it's a minor request but the pbp while excellent, over uses the players (historic) nickname, a couple games used the players name (ellis kinder) old folks about 8 times during the game, got to be a bit redundent...great game enjoying quite a bit thanks for your hard work...

Eh? Only if it is now the beginning of June. Its about 2-3 weeks by my calculations

Markus can you check that the game is generating enough scouts in historical replays--per this thread:

Maybe I messed up somehow or other, but if not then this is a prickly little bug.

Any chance either the MLB quickstart or the AI can get a little tweaking for the next patch? I'd love to see the "Beltran" bug eliminated.

Markus, please try to include the following changes to the game screen in the next patch:

1) Please include hitter type (Normal, Spray, or Pull) on the actual game screen batter's info by putting at least a N, S, or P somewhere in the AT Bat box, perhaps just to the right of the batter's name.

2) Please add at least Shift Right and Shift Left to the game screen Outfield selection options for obvious reasons, along with the added coding to make these choices effective against power pull hitters.

These two additions will greatly increase the reality level of enjoyment and would be so great in the next patch!

Of course, it would also be nice to have other options added later on, such as Shift Right/Left Deep and Shift Right/Left In, maybe by the next version?

This is probably the most annoying bug, at least for me, after the pitcher crash who is fix now (at least you have found the problem).

I just delete all nicknames in the nickname file and solve that problem. If there is nothing there for the game to select, you don't get any nicknames.

Also gets rid of the goofy nicknames in fictional leagues.

I make the player's nickname his primary first name and only get the nicknames in the game that I want.

Yup, that was indeed a silly bug, and I fixed it today

It was? I guess I missed that - Markus mentioned in the Operation Sports interview that it was to be included in an update.
