Well heck. I'm only getting it with the quick start, but i have to have it right so i guess i'll uninstall/re-install. FWIW the add on for the mlb quickstart update doesn't install through the game either so maybe it is all on my end.

Is there an option to have MLBPA sue the human GM for releasing him? Or another player who might do some illegal crap like assault and battery?

Perish the thought. But that's MLB, circa late 00's.

Whatever these guys produce in the future must IMHO be of lesser interrest than all players missing.

Charlie Morton and Jason Perry in the lineups, of course in Richmond AAA to start the season.

I´m more concerned what Jason Perry can do than fiddling with Mr Branyan. Not having new major leaguers in this roster is a bigger fault than speculating on how known guys will do and how they do it in OOTP.

This world playing OOTP should be a 100% copycat of the real world in stats, but some variations in my book. You never know what guys gets for troubles that affect their hitting in this or other "worlds".

Then missing a guy totally is a MAJOR fault compared with different ratings and eventually stats in the end.

So, am I the only one trying to play with these rosters? Minor league numbers are ridiculous. In A ball, teams are hitting at a .220 clip, while things gets better up at AAA where the guys are blistering it at a .235 clip. Meanwhile, there's a team in A ball that hit 30 HR. Not one guy, the entire team. I only have 3 or 4 relief pitchers with any innnings at all, because starters generally go 8 or 9.

Where should I start to try to fix these numbers, or will this patch to the patch by patched someday?

Rookie ball and low A ball tend to have much lower batting averages and homeruns. It is because the hitters have a much bigger adjustment with the wood bats than the pitchers do. The Brooklyn Cyclones for example only have 6 HRs in 18 games and also one hitter hitting over .300.

Well with regard to Charlie Morton, I don't know why he was missed, but Jason Perry was not on an Opening Day roster this year that is why he was not in the file. He started I believe in Extended Spring Training then went to Mississippi, before going to Richmond.

That explains Perry, thanks, but perhaps he could now be joined with the next patch....

After all Richmond is pretty thin on the outfield side and will need him

I would expect him to be there going forward, well at least Mississippi

Understood...My post gave numbers on A and AAA teams though, not Rookie.

Something else I just noticed...these guys are stealing bases at a Henderson-ian clip. I guess since they aren't hitting, they figured they'd run more!

I think a big reason for the hitting numbers being so far down is the pitching is overrated and the hitting is underrated. If you look at many of hte teams with regard to their minor league system reports you will see that many of the A ball pitchers are ready to play at AA but are not able to move up and many of the hitters are over matched at A ball. I think that is THE major reason why A ball hitting is off.

Anyway, I've got a question that may or may not be fixed with this updated roster set. I'm playing an NL team with the modern MLB roster set and I play every game. I've noticed, anecdotally, that when you play the games pitchers seem to hit really, really well. I have no way to prove this, but I can't remember a game where the pitchers didn't have two or three hits combined at least. At the end of May, all the pitchers on the batting leaderboards are pitchers that have started a game against my team.

Not that I'm complaining that I've been hurt by this, necessarily: Carlos Zambrano is hitting .429/.484/.571 in 28 AB. I know, small sample size, etc. But still, is this a problem that other people have noticed? If so, has it been addressed with this updated roster? Should I post this in a brand new thread? Or am I just imagining things?

Any and all replies will be much appreciated.
