Are you connected to the internet when you try to run setup.exe? Setup tries to download the .net framework as part of the install.

If you are connected and it's still happening, try downloading the .net framework 3.5 separately and then install.

OK. Got the program installed.

I go to Game Setup/Import-Export, and click on "Export data to CSV files."

The data is in my league folder, in a sub-folder called "Import_Export".

Outside of your program, I navigate to the file and I can see the CSV files there.

I open your program and point to the "import_export" file, and I get an error message saying it contains no CSV data.

Ahh... I guess I should make that part of the program more clear. You only need to navigate to the league folder, not the import_export file.

Wow, I feel like a pest...but I really like the idea of this program and I want to get it working.

I navigate to the league folder within my saved games folder, click on the league folder, and I get the same error message: This file contains no csv data.

Even though I can see it all in there clearly, when I'm outside of your program.

No, please be a pest. I'd prefer pest-like responses over none at all .

Hmmm.... so you click the open league button... navigate to the league folder "league.lg", and click okay... and it still gives you that error?

The only thing I could think of is to be absolutely sure you're selecting the correct league folder.

If you are, gimme a few minutes, and I'll do what I can to duplicate your problem.

In trying to duplicate your problem, I discovered another (unrelated) bug. If you load a league, and then try to load another one in the same session, you get all kinds of problems. I'll fix that one and upload a new build later. In the meantime, just close the program before loading a 2nd league.

Unfortunately, I really see no possible way that you could click on a .lg file that has an import_export folder with all of the .csv files and get a "Path doesn't contain .csv files" error.

You definitely exported all the .csv files?

I don't use them all in the program, but maybe you're leaving one out.

I can't remember them all, but I'm pretty sure it uses teams.csv, team_roster.csv, players.csv, players_batting.csv, pitchers_batting.csv, and players_fielding.csv. I don't think there are any others.

Fixed! * New download is up.

*"Fixed! " attributed to Markus Heinsohn.... he has no affiliation with the TeamRater. Except as the creator of OOTP. Which isn't really affiliated with the TeamRater. It just... works in conjunction with it. So, Markus isn't responsible if the TeamRater wipes out your hard drive. Well, neither am I, just use it at your own risk. It shouldn't wipe out your hard drive. And if it does, try to remember exactly what you did, because that's a major bug. Thanks!

I downloaded the latest version of your program.

I count 61 different .csv files in my import_export folder. I am clicking on the league folder as you state. I've also tried clicking on the import_export folder.

I definitely exported all the .csv files. I see the option to change which ones you export, and I have them all checked to export.

Believe it or not, I am clicking on a path with .csv files, and getting a message saying there are no .csv files there.

I definitely exported all the .csv files, I believe. How could I not have? The button does not give me an option to pick and chooose.

See... the thing is, it doesn't know that you're clicking on the import_export folder. It expects you to click on the .lg folder, because it takes the path of the .lg folder and tacks on a "import_export" string on the path. So if you choose the import_export folder, you're telling the program '....Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\saved_games\league.lg\import_export\import_expor t'. Obviously import_export\import_export doesn't exist, so it tells you there are no .csv files.

However, if you're clicking on the league.lg file, and then okay, but it's still telling you there are no .csv files.... I'm lost.

This is exactly what I'm doing in the screenshots below. Click once on the .lg folder to highlight it... then click OK. No need to click on any other folders.

Can anyone else chime in and let me know if you're having this problem?

I've been trying this on a 1901 league I started. No luck.

I tried it on a 1977 league, and walla!! It worked.

Both leagues are still in their first year.

For some reason, the 1901 league just won't work with this program.

I can't access the "Rate Teams" button while I am navigating to the correct folder.
That's correct. The league must be loaded before you can click "Rate Teams".

Let me look at the code one more time to see what could be happening.

Uninstall what you have installed, and try this one. This is for debugging purposes.

It should write a teamraterlog.txt file to your C:\.

Post the contents of that here (or attach the file).
Download debugging version

Probably should've asked this first... you are using OOTP 9, right? This doesn't work with version 8. The .csv files are different.

Also, what OS are you using?

Do you have a major league in this universe? It will only work with major leagues (no minors).

Anything else weird in your setup? For instance, the league's nation ID can't be zero. I don't think there's any reason why it would be zero, but that's why I ask about weird setups.

Oh, here's another one. You can't have the .csv files open in excel. Excel hogs the files and won't let other apps use them. You can open them in something like TextPad or Notepad.

I'm still trying to come up with other potential problems....

You may have missed this .... I edited my post a few back.

The program had not been working on a 1901-league-start. I decided to try it on a 1977-league start and ... it worked!

For some reason, it won't do the 1901 league, but it will do the 1977 league.

I didn't see that. Glad it worked.

The year, however, should have nothing to do with anything. Was this the inaugural year of the league? If so, had you already had the inaugural draft and players were on teams?

I just tried a new 1901 league after the draft and it worked fine.

If you have players on teams... could you zip up your import_export folder and email it to me? The address is in the 'about' section of the TeamRater program.

Make sure you don't have the .csv's open. Make sure you're clicking on the .lg and not the import_export folder.

If those don't work, can you try uninstalling and then running the debug version I linked at the top? Then paste the results of the log file.
