Question Running one league on two computers

I'm doing a replay of the 1949 season and I've found that I want to be able to transfer files between my laptop and desktop computers so as to play wherever's convenient. Each has pros and cons.

Anyway, what files will I have to transfer back and forth for this to happen? I've already copied the full .lg file on each computer, so my pictures and logos match, and the only thing I had to change when I did this was the historical database path on the 2nd computer (Mac/PC). I'd rather not have to transfer the entire .lg file every time, so I'm guessing just a transfer a la online league updates is fine, but which files would those be?

not sure, I do the same thing, and I always copy the hole .lg folder from my saved games.

I'm interested in this as well, as I might want to do something like this in the future.

Has anyone tried putting their OOTP9 folder that is typically stored in "My Documents" onto a network drive that they can access from any point in the house? Or even on a USB jump drive? I wonder if that would work.

An online league I am in sends partial updates with what they call a bones archive.

It contains coaches.dat, ethnicities.dat, faces.dat, human_managers.dat, injuries.dat, messages.dat, names.dat, nations2.dat, offers.dat, options.dat, parks.dat, players.dat, retired.dat, scouting.dat, teams.dat, trades.dat, weather.dat, and world.dat.

The update seems to get most of the basics, but if I remember correctly those don't transfer news, messages, etc..

I find the transfer of league cumbersome due to the sheer volume of files.

So what I do is keep the league on my desktop and use the great free VPN (https://secure.logmein.com/products/free/) to control the desktop when I want to play on the laptop.

In fact I have next to nothing on my laptop and simply use it with log me in to remote back and keep everything on the desktop.

Of course the primary benefits are to access your email, files, etc
