OOTP patch version 9.2.9 coming soon!

Hey guys,

in a few days we'll release a new patch which will fix a online league security issue and introduce a couple of new things:
- Fixed uniform numbers changing without reason
- Added pitcher & batter pictures to the webcast in-game screen
- Added a "First-Year Player Draft Order" tab to the league transaction screen
- Increased the number of utility-players created, meaning guys that play multiple defensive positions

Along with the new patch we'll have a pre-Christmas promotion, dropping the price by $15 for a week.

So I assume that since you're going to make 9.2.9, that makes 9.2.7 "official"? I know a few people are concerned about this and have stated that in the commish corner thread on all this stuff.

And will there be a Mac version of 9.2.7 or 9.2.9?

If the commish goes to 9.2.9, all the GMs will need to go to 9.2.9 as well.

What a pleasant surprise! I was expecting a patch for the security issue but I didn't expect any new features,can't wait to check out the new webcast screen!No screenshots though,I kinda want it to be a surprise.

Online leaguers should keep in mind that this security fix for OOTP won't magically keep your websites safe from attack from on now. OOTP is only one of the ways that they could have gotten access. Commissioners and otherwise online league administrators, please read these threads for more:

Wow, thanks Markus. The new features sound great and were totally unexpected. The numbers is a nice fix that while not a huge deal but, like Afino,
I've always found this irritating.

Thanks, Markus. The numbers thing always annoyed the crap out of me especially when my star player known for his number 3, changes to 4 or 5 every so often. Just cosmetic, but still cool.
