OOTP Patch version 9.2.11 released! - Page 2

english.xml is the news stories and what not. The one that's being included has all the fixed new stories/game text from after the last patch.

That sticky that Eugene Church has in this forum is all the bad new stories/game text that people have found in the game and posted.

...and now I just had a game that crashed and had the faces corrupted, meaning I can't even load it anymore. Something is seriously wrong with this iteration of the game.

Anybody know when this patch will be released on Steam? Got a couple guys in my league who use Steam and don't want to screw them over.

Okay, now I'm confused so please bear with me. I loaded patch 9.2.2 about a month ago. Now I check back to the boards here and see that just about a week ago the last official patch 9.2.11 has been completed and out there. So my question is do I have the most updated patch already or do I need to load 9.2.11?

Yes, if you want the most current version of the game.

It cannot be loaded through the game. You have to download it from the website.

I had similar problems with this iteration. Unfortunately, I've never been able to recover the database but moving forward, starting over again as I've had to do several times, the problem does not seem to occur if you update photos "Always if needed" but DOES occur if you set them to update anually, at least for my version of the faces crash.

Save the league somewhere else before installing the patch.

For someone who doesn't browse this forum all the time, isn't it confusing that the latest patch is 9.2.11 and the previous patch was 9.2.2?

Yes, it is, sorry

With OOTP10 we will increase the 2nd number with each patch release. And the 3rd number will not be reset.

Other's have mentioned this as well. Personally, I don't see what's so confusing.

2 < 11. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Of course, I'm a programmer as well.

.20 > .11

Whatever number-system....

I have 9.2.2 and of course eager to put 9.2.11 in BUT BUT

I read things on different threads that huge problems pops up.

I fear that in the days of Football, Hockey and Basketball not too many play around with the OOTP.... Not many enough to find crazy new errors.. I mean.

So guys should I get scared installing 9.2.11 and stick with my 9.2.2 ?????

I need to be calmed before going ahead I think ...
