Stop players from retiring
Is there a way to keep players from retiring? Perhaps a menu option?

No, but you can unretire any player who does retire. Go to the league history, tab for retired players. Right click on a player and select the "unretire" option.

At least in the 2006 and 2007/8 versions, players who were manually unretired would re-retire a year later. No idea if that still happens in Version 9.
