Decrease in player ratings.

So here is the deal, in my game Tim Lincecum is 28 and this past season he had quite a decrease is ratings. In the 2012 his season ratings were: stuff 80, movement 80, and control 70.

Stat line was W: 20 L: 9 ERA 2.68 IP: 248 HA: 182 ER: 74 HR: 20 BB: 75 K: 222.

His BB and HR totals were more than previous years and his K totals were down, however this is what became of his ratings.

Stuff: 58 Movement: 68 Control: 50

Can anyone explain the drop off? He is still young so it can't be because of age. Can anyone fill me in on the drop?

(Scout hasn't changed)

Sometimes it just happens. That noise you sometimes hear in the background on this forum, that sounds like wailing and the gnashing of teeth? It's because of talent hits and injuries to players gone by.
