Pitchers and Hiters not playing

I am playing a solo league with close to the standard settings, I keep having pitchers and hitters stop playing, they are not injured or retired, they just won't play. It happens to 1-3 a season, and they never paly again, even after sitting on a teams 25 man for 10-15 years in some cases. Teams even sigh tham as FAs.

This problem has been in the support forum for weeks, and no help at all, I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem and if anyone can help,
