Problems importing negro leagues players

I'm running a fictional league where I want to import several players from the negro leagues as part of the story line.

However, regardless which database I use, I have been unable to successfully import any negro league players.

At the same time I have been able to import major league players without any problem from the same databases.

I am doing this on a MacBook Pro and I've used ArodGarlon db, as well as Lahman 53 and Lahman 54

What I've had to do is create fictional players using the stats you find in the Baseball Encyclopedia for negro leaguers.

All very frustrating.

Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Gambo's DB in the Mods has Negro leaguers

All these databases have the negro league players in them.

the problem is that they don't import successfully.

The Spritze 750-neutralized db imports Negro-leaguers (and Japanese-leaguers) successfully... See this post - http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post2690722 - for more details. In fact, you might want to scan the whole thread...

Note that in the very next post below the linked post above, Spritze mentions something about releasing a neutrallized db that includes Negro, Japanese, and 'gap players.' However, I believe the Spritze 750 db is just that. It sure seems to be in my experience...

I'm pretty sure you won't get Negro-leaguers in the db's that come w the game or any of the Lahman's. Could be wrong, though... Hope this helps.
