Yeah he does have some okay wheels. i like how he is a "pull hitter" under type of hitter. He has a contact rating of one with no potential improvement. The type of hitter field should be blank or to be determined. Can you get a zero for a rating?

I created a test league and pulled an entire draft class. Here is the average rating of a 17 year-old hitter:
The average 17 yo ratings are: Contact: 5.98 Gap: 8.48 Eye: 4.41 AvK: 4.82 Power: 3.41 BABIP: 9.01 302 Prospects |

That said, I hear of guys who automatically cut players with ratings like this. Fine if they need to space in their organization, but they're just dropping a raffle ticket that will pay off every now and again. |

Doing a quick eyeball scan of my dev charts, I'll modify my projections to about 2% that this guy will ever be able to play in the majors. He'll still almost certainly see some progression of talent, though he may just as well lose his gains as keep them.

You're right, sometimes it's okay to take a flier on guys like this ONLY IF they have a strong Work Ethic and/or Intelligence rating.
I know I certainly mine the FA pool after our draft each year just to find guys that are more likely to bump up, but I've never taken a chance on someone THIS bad. |
