Is it possible to have byes in the playoffs?

I'm in a 36 team league. The idea of expanding the playoffs came up, but 16 teams is just too many.

We would love to put 12 teams in the playoffs, giving the two best records in each conference a bye in the first round.

The other eight playoff teams would play each other, and then move forward to face those teams coming off the bye.

But...I'm pretty sure OOTP9 doesn't support this? Correct?

Any word on it being in OOTP10?

I asked in the past. Technically no. But you can incoprate byes by adding additional regular season games in commish mode. But that might also involve editing the playoff schedule as well if a 3rd place team beats a 2nd place team.

But the game currently does not have this incorperated in the game.

?

Got a link to a thread that describes the process in detail? I've tried everything I could think of to get byes to work and I couldn't.

The person to ask about this is Le Grande Orange. He's probably covered by the non-disclosure agreement at present, but based upon his recent public postings, I would guess not.
