Ya now that OOTP 2010 is out, I just dont see why somone should pay full price for OOTP2009 a now outdated game.

Think logically. There is nothing to be gained for OOTPD to discount v9. They want to sell as many of vX as possible. Each discounted sale of v9 would be a lost vX sale. Business 101 my friend.

Its one of the many reasons more and more people are leaving OOTP. I for one wont buy 2010 after buying ever game they have made. But anyways just my thoughts on the issue. I hope soon they lower it for those still interested in it.

Yes,

Yes I bought 2009 when it first came out. I just personally dont see the point of keeping a older version full price when a newer version is out. Specially in hard times like we are in now $$ wise.

anyways I hope it comes down soon for those still interested in it.

OOTPD consists of three people. It's a busy time for them right now. I'm sure that when things slow down a bit they'll get around to lowering the price. But up against the importance of a new version release, I doubt it's a huge priority at this moment.

You haven't rubbed anyone the wrong way (at least not me). Put aside the emotion and you will see that there is no possible reason that OOTPD should discount OOTP9. They don't want to sell that game any more.

They incentivized people to buy the new version by having it 30% off for a few months. I don't necessarily agree with keeping older versions full price, but there is nothing to be gained from it.

Actually there is a very good reason to lower the price. With the new one out nobody will buy the old version at an equal price. Everybody who wanted #10 probably got it during the pre-order period. Why not slash the price of #9, and maybe bring in a few "on the fence" types? Get them interested, and perhaps they will upgrade to #10 after "putting their toe in the water".

Seems a sensible course of action to me.
