Full Coaching?

I have a problem with the full coaching

Especially when you have player/managers

The firing is way too knee jerk

I have tried to change a teams philosophy to 'rebuild' when they have a horrible record and that has helped somewhat. But the fact that you have to make yourself GM of each squad to keep managers is ludicrous.

Should I click that tab and then 'de-click' it after the season? The click it again when spring training starts and fire each manager on my own?

That kills any way I can name the GM's after the owners and keep them on one team for any length of time. Or can I edit them in the available personnel section to 'put them back' on the necessary squad?
