Splash screen over opening screen

Hi Folks,

Just over from PureSim which I enjoy, but wanted to see what OOTP has to offer after "hearing" mention of it on Padres Fan site.
Got a goofy question:
On the bottom half of the opening/choices screen of OOTP 8, there's a splash screen/advertisement for OOTP 10. It obscures the lower half of the opening screen, everything below the "Quick Start Game" button.
How do I get rid of the bloody thing ? I don't object to advertising, but think that giving away OOTP 8 is, by itself, very good advertising for OOTP 10. If is a way to "x" out of the screen after startup, I wish it was more obvious.
