OOTP 12 Release Date!

Hello friends,

We have now set the definite release date for OOTP 12: it will be Monday June 20th for preorder customers and two days later for everyone else.

When we originally said it would be released in the Spring, we were hoping for a release closer to Opening Day, but we weren't able to make that happen this year. The past couple of months have been very busy for us as a company, as we have released an additional product (iOOTP) for the first time in years — that effort resulted in some unforseen work schedule changes, but iOOTP's release will help us to grow as a company and make the OOTP franchise even better in the future. We apologize for the delay, but we're sure OOTP 12 is well worth the wait. The game will enter beta testing in a couple of days and will be well tested and stable when we release it, something that is very important to us.

After the release, we will continue to work on OOTP 12 and provide free patches and updates frequently. We will add some more immersion features in a free update, for example, and we're also looking to add more playoff customization options later on. So, OOTP 12 will be improved throughout the baseball season. Meanwhile, the development on OOTP 13 will start sooner, so that we will be able to release it before Opening Day 2012.

We will reveal the first screenshots and send out a newsletter announcing the release date next week, and we'll also start rolling out Road-To-Release articles very soon

PS: If the game is finished earlier & is ready to go, we will release it of course. But instead of giving estimated release dates each week, I found it better to set one definite date. Hope you agree
