First thing that stood out to me was the player pics with no backgrounds. Very nice.

I also really like the way actual/potential ratings bars overlap.

Yeah big fan of this as well! Love how the actual Ratings bars are more defined and stand out more then prevs versions. Great work!

Really excited for the interactive storyline feature, one of the things I wanted most for the game but really wasn't expecting it for another couple of years!

As far as features go, League Associations and Custom playoffs is a really good idea.

Thank you Markus!

WOW does that look pretty. I LOVE how all that information is presented...morale, pitches, salary info, all on one screen.

Is it April yet?

I really love how on the new profile page you can see the player's contract info right there

Yeah. The usage tracker of OOTP 12 showed us that contract info is the 2nd most viewed section in the player screen (trailing the profile). So we thought we'd add that info to the profile to save you some clicks.

My heart (finally) skipped a beat when I saw, "League Associations and Expanded Playoff Modes", but I can't help but worry whether or not it'll really be everything we want. I'll try to keep my expectations in check. We've been waiting so long for this I just don't want us to be disappointed with it now that we've finally gotten it.

EDIT: As for the look, it's pretty snazzy. At first I didn't care for it as it looks so different, but I like the detail of stuff like others have pointed out (it shows that you were really thinking about how best to show things which means a lot IMO) so I'm sure it'll grow on us. Nice job on that, guys.

Love the 'primary lineup' thing on the team main page that shows batting averages, homeruns, etc.... Looks great.

Ach, disappointment is the word that comes to mind. For what I'm interested in, at least. There are new features and some graphic improvements But I'm not sure they're worth $35 (seems the preorder price goes up every year).

I would have liked to see more realism in historical leagues. People have been clamoring for that for years.

And an automatic space filler in the widget screen? No, thanks. How about something simple like making all the windows resizable like everybody has been asking for?

There are some nice new features but it looks like ootp 12 is so good it's just really hard to come up with better new stuff. It's mostly some new graphics and a few tweaks.

It's going to be a tough decision this year.

Realism in historical leagues will be improved as well, However, we have not yet decided in what form, so it was left out of the feature list.

Anyway, I think this feature list is the most impressive we've had for years. And the new Real Time Simulation mode is simply revolutionary and totally rocks.

But, as I have learned during all those the years, we cannot please everybody

Will we be able to assign individual associated Leagues a "home country", so that we could do something like a Euro Leauge? You know, one where most of the players in the German Baseball League are from Germany, an Italian league would be mostly Italian players, etc and then have the league champions meet in a Euro Cup?

Cheers I just reread that in the newsletter and it sounds like my favorite improvement. Coupled with the dynamic news stories it could breathe a TON of life into a league.

I have a feeling that after playing with the new look I'll go back to v12 just for fun and think "How did I spend so many hours with this clunkiness?"
